More about FLINTAXI

FLINTAXI respresents a taxi company run by FLINTA* people for FLINTA* people. I became self-employed part-time so that I could work as a taxi driver in my free periods. The idea came to me in the summer of 2023, shortly before my flight to California. The first ideas and the logo were created on the long-haul flight there and back. In principle, all possible simple passenger trips can be booked with FLINTAXI, be it trips to or from the airport (currently only Vienna) or any other ride in, out of or to Vienna. Furthermore, with FLINTAXI it should also be possible to book collections of small furniture from private individuals or from furniture stores with expensive delivery fees. Here you can estimate if the objects fit into the car and place an order for a furniture-transport. Courier rides are also possible, where only small packages, letters or similar items are to be transported from A to B in the taxi.

II repeatedly asked friends to take me to the airport or pick me up or to transport a piece of furniture with me (when I didn't have my own car yet). I also don't like taking public transport late in the evening and used to often use car sharing offers in Vienna. I always used it to drive my friends home at late hours so that they arrived home safely. I currently drive people in my private car and also offer help with furniture transport. Now I thought that I could expand these voluntary friendship services and offer my taxi services to other people who would prefer to ride in a taxi with a FLINTA* person.

FLINTA* people will be verified as members on the website and can then book rides.

Cis-males (cis men) can register in order to make bookings for FLINTA* people in their area and also pay (payment link will be sent via website chat and email). This could be, for example, a father who wants to book and pay for a trip for his daughter, or a friend, a brother, etc.

I have a vision that over time more FLINTA* people will train to drive taxis so that FLINTAXI can grow and make more trips. Please contact me if you are interested in training to be a taxi driver. The following steps are necessary to obtain the taxi license:

- 1 week course (220 - 249€)

- Computer-exam (single choice) & oral exam (176€) 

- age 21

- trustworthiness
